Va Tech and UT in Chick-fil-A

    According to a source with knowledge of the process, the Vols are headed for a showdown at 7:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve against Virginia Tech, but no public announcement is expected until after the Bowl Championship Series process is complete on Sunday. In the meantime, UT will keep its options open after surprisingly being shunned by the Outback Bowl on Tuesday, even though it now appears to have found a home for the holidays

    UT surprised me this season. Considering the coaching change and who they had to play at QB they had a pretty good season. Kiffin is off to another great start in recruiting as well. That said I still think VT beats them.

    Agreesome, Kiffen will be a winner on Rocky Top. He is a bit over the top but I think he will put Tennessee back near the top of the SEC. Va Tech is a team that I think underachieved this year.

    It's official: Vols heading to Chick-fil-A Bowl to face Virginia Tech
    The Vols and Hokies will meet in Atlanta December 31st at 7:30. The game will be carried by ESPN. ​

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- It's official. It will be Tennessee and #12 Virginia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
    The game will be played December 31st in Atlanta. Kick-off is set for 7:30 and the game will be carried on ESPN.
