I like how thelt's plan completely bypasses potentially losing Marshall and continues the 'just get by' plan at DT.

if we're not uncapped (a fantastic reason to not be able to boil an entire team's problems into a paragraph - that one huge variable to go with the 300 others), I could see us attempt to go with Munnerlyn, Wilson, and whichever hybrid isn't starting at FS.

    oh let me play...

    Fire Davidson

    Promote Jim Skipper to OC

Cut Gamble.... no wait, do that first... trade value? as long as he's gone. I wouldn't even dress a 20 next year, it's like wearing a Target logo with burn marks

Fire ST's coach Crossman, hire somebody else.... anybody

Sign Peppers to long term deal, but he's no Jared Allen

Trade Jarrett if possible... if not, just cut him too

Sign FA or trade draft picks/players for legit WR, Anquan Boldin? Cinco Ocho?

Cut a TE... there's too many TE's out there that can play and I want one, ex: Heath Miller, Vernon Davis, Dallas Clark, etc... look to free agency, trade or draft pick

Look to the draft for need, not best player... like QB, WR, TE, PR, CB

Would love Colt McCoy, would pull a Ricky Williams for him

I think Cinco Ocho plays LB, but hey.. we could use some depth there.

for those who haven't seen this . .. pretty succinct

    http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/nfl/panthers/story/221173.html

I seriously do not believe that Fox gets fired and like the author of the above I see jake on next years roster. Since the panthers FO absolutely sucks at acquiring immediate offensive talent (via FA or draft) it's probable that jake starts again next year. I my opinion if the panthers don't have an upgrade to jake AND Fox next year it's the same damn sinking ship. peppers strapping them financially, no receiver threat aside from smitty, no effective run-stuffing DTs, crappy ST coach, etc etc . .. none of those things will cripple a team like a stubborn unimaginative coach who plays not to lose and a ruined old QB who should have been put out to pasture instead of extended

btw - if Fox is NOT fired that would be a clear indication that the biggest problem with this organization may be the guy at the very top and he ain't goin' no where

While I agree the front office has issues I believe the first order of business is give Fox an ultimatum. Fire Davidson and make the QB position an open competition or get the fuck out. Several teams would love to have DeAngelo, Stewart and Steve Smith and could do a hell of a lot better. Davidson is fucking clueless.

yep, Fox & Co are able to bring in good RBs but they are either driven into the ground (S. Davis) or they are underutilized (D. Williams). Seems like fox suffers from oneareaitis. One position gets strong (like D-line used to be) and he just lets others slide.

Definately not a big Davidson fan but I dont think any OC could make Delhomme and the passing game work this year.

How is D.Williams under utilized? You think he needs more touches? Both him and JStew are getting pounded. They barely practice as it is.
