Did the Gator Bowl really already extend invitations to FSU and WVU due to this?

That matchup is likely but a whole bunch of folks from the different schools, bowls, conferences, etc have to agree to waive some contractual terms for it to happen.

    Question...

If Pitt upsets Cinci, then Cinci would be heading to the Sun Bowl?

Not sure. Cinci should end up in the Gator, but well, the Gator is getting complicated. I'd think the Sun would go with a Big 12 team, though, over Cinci. Outside of WVU, none of the Bowls really want Big East teams because of the poor travel unless the tickets are already sold by the opposing team.

Thanks. When you posted in the Tarheel thread, I went out and looked around and couldn't find anything about what would happen if Cinci loses. But I figured Cinci would get screwed then. Better beat Pitt.

Yep. Look for some ACC teams to get "screwed", too.

Too many if/then situations on the ACC side right now, especially with the weird Gator Bowl situation.

The way the ACC side is possibly looking right now is:

    Orange GT or Clemson
    Chick-Fil-A Va Tech
    Gator FSU
Champs Clemson (if they lose) or UNC
Music City UNC/GT (if they lose)
    Meinke Miami
    Emerald - BC

Yep, GT could fall all the way to Nashville if they lose the Championship game. This is gonna get fun.

VA- the entire line did that during the Clemson game too. The announcers thought they were instructed to do it when they spotted an infraction. In this case, I think that was the only guy who saw it. Got to hand it to him, he did not break. :lol2:
