So you don't think Henning is better and more qualified than Davidson?

I think the success or failure of most players in the NFL is the result of their own talent and dedication. I do not think it is the case very often that good players become that way due to coaches. By the time guys get to the NFL they have played a lot of football, most at big time college programs.

His resume is nicer. Is he better? Don't believe so. They both have major problems. We see some wildcat and get fucking stars in our eyes. Pretend the shit we had is better than the shit we have. Guy couldn't even stay dedicated to the run half the time on a team whose mission statement includes the word "run" twice. I mean, neither of them would be what I'd personally put in but that doesn't really matter to the conversation. I know if I were John Fox, I'd want a couple things: 1) run, 2) run well, 3) fix third down. He's up and down on 3, and you might want 4) don't be a retard, but 4 is an elective.

Do I have issues with Davidson? Sure. Outside of the idea that it's the same system, same approach, same players, under the same conservative head coach, there are some things specific to him I don't like. Does that make Henning better if I have an issue with Davidson?

I've never seen anyone attempt to argue for a coach with the supposition that coaching doesn't matter. So therefore, it wouldn't actually matter who the coach is, right?

This is pretty unprecedented so I want to make sure I have that right.

I realize that Henning is better than Davidson, and that Cowher is Better than Fox, but that none of the four is really necessary.
