collin took a ride in a time machine back to when he was about 13(ish) and his first forum name was apparently Pi.
I prefer the "grown up" version . .. he knew more of which he spoke

I still think Belichick is the best coach in football. He's a cheater, home-wrecker, and an overall scumbag, but you still have to respect what he's done professionally.

Really? I doubt it. If true, I feel sorry for the teams involved. It seems as though you didn't even watch the game or you would have known that the Line Judge was over 40 yards away, in no position to observe Faulk or spot the ball. If you want to continue to insist that the Linejudge did this, give us a screen shot. The way the media ran with this, the video should be easy to find.

That play was toward the official chains (home team side of field), not the auxiliaries. THAT'S THE HEAD LINESMAN'S SIDE OF THE FIELD NOT THE LINE JUDGE. Please do some more google copy paste to impress us more with your knowledge of officiating crew members and their responsibilities.

The real Belichick is a hell of a lot smarter coach than the one that made the call to go for it in that situation. Must be he read a few of your posts and ended up less intelligent as a result. Faulk bobbled the ball, failing to make the line to gain, end of story, Pats lose.

That is not always the HL's side of the field, Dipshit. The referee generally decides what side of the field he wants the HL on. Sometimes it is determined by wheter the QB is right or left handed because the Referee will favor a different side of the backfield depending on which hand the QB throws with.

The LJ and the HL both line up at the line of scrimmage for the snap, so it doesn't really matter. When I say LJ I am referring the the official on either side of the field on the line of scrimmage since they both hold similar positions and carry many of the same responsibilities. In this case they would certainly each be responsible for spotting forward progress on a 3 yard pass to their respective side of the field.

The only thing that matters is that your original assessment of it not being possible for a LJ to spot the forward progress was a complete fail and you have been googling your way through this thread ever since.

I can give you more about officiating off the top of my head than you could ever google so keep it up, it is an all around epic fail.

Fuck off. I'm dealing with 2 fucktards that don't know shit about officiating. At least Mags didn't lower himself to IE's level and start googling his way into an argument, he just stopped when he realized he didn't know.

BTW, I was just informed by another poster that the play in question was on the Patriots side of the field. Wouldn't surprise me if you were wrong again.

Good LORD you're a total idiot who refuses to admit when he is wrong. You can't even keep up with the names of the officiating positions let alone their responsibilities.

They lied and you stupidly bit. But at least you now admit that you didn't even see the play or who spotted the ball and are simply blowing smoke out of your ass.

PS. I won't be holding my breath waiting for your lying ass to post a pic of the LJ spotting that ball.

Pretending you're right doesn't cut it. For christs sake, your first post in this thread declared that the referee was in charge of that spot.

The spot came from a Linesman, either the HL or the LJ. It doesn't matter which since their responsibility on that play would be identical.

Remember, googling won't fool all the people, just the ones that know less than you....which isn't many in this case

Why would they lie? They just hate you and were helping out.

And where did I "admit" to not seeing the play? Typical BS from someone that put their foot in their mouth and is now practicing damage control.

This is the 3rd time you've mention this. Why don't you post the pic if it is so fucking important to you? I can promise you 2 things, 1) it will not be the Referee spotting the forward progress on that play, like you originally stated....and 2) it will be either the HL of the LJ, who would be responsible depending who was on that side of the field.

I know you have tried to twist this into a debate over field responsibilities between the HL and LJ but that is just a diversion from your original statement claiming I was wrong about the linesman marking forward progress when you declared it would have been the Referee.

If you had googled more before jumping into this thread you may not be in this position now.

You're wrong. Drop dead you little fuckin queer.

nah, this just isn't worth the five year grudge that disagreeing with you provides.
