Poll has been out for a while.
The media shows no love at all for N.C. State.
Is State making progress in basketball, or are they actually going to sink to the bottom this year?

If Dook don't beat Carolina for the Championship this year, they won't win another for a while. Heels have a ton of talent but a lot of it is still peeing green. Klempson is a guard from being really good.

State will struggle but Sid gets a pass because of the recruiting class he is bringing in for next year.

I saw in the UNC game last night that actually Duke and UNC tied with 545 points I believe but that Duke had 25 and UNC had 20 first place votes. It's not that huge of a deal either way, but it will more than likely come down between those 2 again. Duke will not be as guard heavy this year with Williams and Henderson gone. Scheyer, Singler, Smith will definitely be the core. Throw in Plumlee a year older, plus his brother and Ryan Kelly also is a great freshman they have coming in. UNC has a great deal of talent as well. That's exactly what the Blues do.. They just restock.

Georgia State gave NC State a pretty good game... and GA State is terrible.

Nevermind what I said earlier bout Miles Plumlee being a sophomore and his brother Mason coming in as a freshman. Miles will still be there, but his brother broke his wrist. Just scratch that idea. Ryan Kelly still should be a great player though for Duke. I'm watching ESPNU right now waiting to see if Brandon Harris comes to Duke, UNC, or out west to UCLA or one of the Big 12 schools. Kyrie Irving will be a good PG for Duke as well in future.

duke will win the acc. carolina will finish 2nd prolly 2 games behind duke. unc doesnt have a pg, any shooters, and they're still average on defense. their defense must improve because they don't have the stars they did last year. they still have a heck of a lot of talent, but all of them are forwards. most of them are playing positions they've never played before. it will take a lot of time before they get up to speed. duke is much stronger than last year. their biggest weakness last year was giving up size to everyone they played. this year thats one of their strengths. singler is finally able to play on the perimeter again. duke is on a level by themselves right now. carolina will prolly get there by the end of the season, but duke has more experience, more scorers, and of course much better defense.
