well, we played an undefeated team close to the end. We got hosed by some calls (the endzone punt play), DW had two fumbles and some drops, receivers didn't come down with some balls, but we were still in it.

I'm actually pretty happy with the effort. Held the best offense in the league to 23 points, gave ourselves a good chance to win, the Saints are just a great team playing on their home field, no shame in losing like that. Delhomme seems to be improving, which is good. I like our chances against Atlanta next week.

DW holds on to that touchdown pass he dropped and does not have that fumble that turned into a Saints score and we win. No real shame in this loss. I just hate that we are in such a deep hole so early in the year. We are playing well enough now to be a playoff team but probably not good enough to go from 3-5 to the playoffs against our tough schedule.

At least Jarrett showed a little something.

Played to lose at the end. We could have kicked a FG with 41 seconds left from the 10, instead we go for it on 4th down when we're down 10.

Yep. Can't wait to see who we get next year, because as much as I used to like him Fox is just not getting it even remotely done. I mean, how in the hell do you cash your paycheck?? Have you no shame?

Playing scared will always make your players think they are going to lose. Fox's "conservatism" is now just plain old knee's-shaking, freaking scaredy-cat bullshit and if you think players can't pick up on that you're a fool just like he is. I mean, really. Grow a Pair!

And as a side note to Richardson, find out how much the refs are getting paid by the networks (note the Saints didn't pay them, the network did for ratings) and double the price!! That missed PI call and some missed holding calls were beyond obvious. Missing those right in front of your face when you are paid to make those calls raises serious question marks. Serious question marks.

Lord, we can't have the Saints lose to the Panthers! The Panthers are a small market team that has no feelgood story this year!!! The Saints are the feelgood story of the year and we need them to remain unbeaten so we can get great ratings next week!!!

chip, did you have anything to say actually, or are you just chirping in with nothing again?

The receivers dropped balls, no question, but Delhomme had NOT touch today, and was overall awful again.

The effort was solid. The first half was good, but to again, let the second half go all to hell, and for two straight series', look like a high school team that never practiced their plays, is inEXCUSABLE for an NFL football team. We blew this. They were not the better team today. We blew it bey being unprepared the entire second half of the game.

I wouldn't object, and I know it would never happen OBVIOUSLY, but I wouldn't give a shit if these pieces of garbage got canned mid season. At this point, what are we playing for.

What a wash. What a joke, these people have become. TO have a division game in the grasp, and to completely unravel. Shameful. There is no other word for it.

This really pissed me off. Everybody knows that when you're down by 10 with under a minute left, you go ahead and take the FG. We even called a fucking running play.

It was a good effort. Really missed some opportunities, but the fact that we had them is a positive. We desperately need a quarterback who can give this team some balance.
