Both my kids have strep so I broke down and took them to the Dr. this morning. Damn place was slammed packed at 8am with sick kids. Avoid the Dr's office at all cost!!

My 18 month old has a normal check up scheduled for next week. I'm thinking about canceling it for another time because I don't want him to get sick from a check up!

Already cancelled both my kids normal check ups for this year. One was this month and the other in December. No reason to risk a healthy child by going to an flu infested office. The Dr seem to think that was a good idea as well. Imagine that.

took me two weeks to get over it. my son and daughter got the live virus nasal spray vaccine and a day later the boy comes down with a fever. we take him in and he's swabbed for swine flu and it comes back positive but the doc said the vaccine spray, being so recent, could be causing a false positive. put him on tamiflu and he takes motrin to knock down the fever. the next day and every day since he's had no fever and is his normal rambunctious self. so, we don't know if he had the swine or not. what I'm hearing is this strain is not nearly as bad as it's been touted.

Many vaccines can cause a fever. People freaking out over the H1N1 vaccine, while they have that right, seem shortsighted.

I understand that. But as I stated, the doc swabbed and tested after he got the fever and it came back positive for H1N1. I don't think he actually had it, but the doc said it's not unusual for a sympton to arise briefly, go away, and return a week later
