    The Weekly Hotseat:

    1. Ralph Friedgen (2-5, only a matter of time)
    2. Bobby Bowden (3 straight losses)
    3. Tom O'Brien (0-3 ACC, defense sucks)
    4. Butch Davis (0-2 ACC: next 2 games: Florida St. & Va. Tech)

    Off the seat for now:
Al Groh: (3 straight wins, heck, Va. leads the ACC Coastal & defense is playing pretty good.
    Dabo Swinney: (3-3, thumped Wake)

Clemson certainly has issues, but Dabo isn't in jeopardy...yet.

    This Week's Hotseat:

    1. Ralph Friedgen (2-6, losses to Wake, Va., & Duke?)
    2. Tom O'Brien (0-3 ACC)
    3. Bobby Bowden (ends losing streak-plays State this week: best way to get the fans off your case: play a couple of North Carolina schools)

Dabo wins a big game & moves off the list!
If Al Groh loses to Duke at home, he 's back on.
Butch wins a big game & moves off the list!

How is TOB on the hotseat and Butch Davis isn't?

All the UNC fans I know want to blame John Shoop for all of UNC's offensive problems. I guess we could take Tom O'Brien off the list and put Defensive coodinator Mike Archer's name on there also, given that kind of logic. Most UNC & State fans contend that Davis & O'Brien are not in jeopardy of being fired, but surely they are both on the hotseat at their schools. I put Shoop on the list because it was ridiculous to not run the ball in the 4th quarter last week against Florida State. Have they explained that yet? And also, regardless of Davis & O'Briens reputation's, they both have that "deer in the headlight look on their faces" sometimes when things aren't going their way.

Davis is not on the hot seat but some of his assistants are. Losing some assistants the last 2 years has hurt the program IMO. Butch has 2 more seasons before the ass is on the griddle. He is not getting it done as well as he should but he will get a pass for a while because the thinking is that he will turn it around. He sure needs some more help in the offensive backfield though.

Dabo Swinney must have been the happiest man alive Saturday night after beating Miami. He was running around hugging everyone after that game. He must have been feeling a little bit of pressure.

That was for sure a great win for Dabo and the Tigers. I must confess that I found myself pulling for Klempson for perhaps the first time ever. Tigers have perhaps started to play up to their talent level.

I like Clemson, always have (unless they happen to be playing the Heels or Wake). I'm not sure Dabo was the right hire but he's still got some time to prove himself.
