    Hello:

So here's the story I had a mac mini (2006) connected to my plasma TV, i used the standard adapter supplied with the mini and simply bought an extension to connect it to the RGB (input) on the plasma, it worked perfectly from day one.

Here's the rub, my 80GB HD in the mini failed, so I replaced it with a 500GB, 7200 Seagate, everything went perfectly however now when I connect the MAC MINI to the plasma there's a BLACK SCREEN with some sign that there is a signal coming from the mini...... there's some squiggly lines and the desktop is barely viewable then goes black and comes in and out.

    Does anyone know what happened???

    Please help......thanks

FWIW, I had a SEAGATE external storage unit that worked fine. When I got a different computer/brand I was unable to access the info & stuff stored on the SEAGATE. I couldn't get past the SEAGATE's "home page."

    Video issues

I've tried three monitors with no luck, but my computer guy didn't have any issues because he reinstalled the OS

Could the little adaptor that the mini comes with be broken?

when it goes in and out, is it ever perfect or is it always jacked up?

what other monitors have you tried? it's possible that the thing is set up for a particular resolution your monitor can't handle. you might try an old crt multisync type monitor if you can find one.

did you have to do any tricks to set it up for your monitor originally?
