    Not so fast...

What about Oklahoma? The 2 losses UGA has.. At the time they played, Ok St. was ranked 9.. LSU #4..

Oklahoma gets to remain in the top 25 because they started off being ranked higher in preseason? If thats so, then that goes along with the argument against preseason polls. Least the 2 teams UGA lost to are worth something. Miami is a great team, but BYU?? LSU and Ok. St. would dominate BYU..

Let LSU play OU and see if the Sooners come a minute away from defeating them. Bob Stoops Big Game Rep isn't that good anyways so why would we even think they'd still be in the game with a min left.

Rob, college football rankings is all splitting hairs as the season progresses. You've got to win your big games. Once you lose 2 games, you're pretty much trying to figure out which 2nd-rate bowl to go to during the holidays. Lose 2 games & you're yesterday's news. Georgia only has 1 shot now of climbing in the polls this year: beat #1 Florida on October 31st. If they lose that game they will have 3 losses and are relegated to fighting for 2nd place in the SEC East. Oklahoma is probadly not going to climb much further either.

    Tonight:

    Boise State (5-0) @ Tulsa (4-1)

Not much on TV tonight but this game. Tulsa's only match-up against a Top 20 team was a 45-0 loss to Oklahoma. If Boise State struggles in this game they could drop some in the polls. Showing you how weak some conferences are, Tulsa could very well play in the Conference USA Championship game.

Don't see Boise State struggling. They manhandled Oregon. Oregon looks like the best team in the Pac-10.

I would like to see Tulsa beat Boise but I don't think it's going to happen. The Broncos are going to run the table and screw a team out of BCS berth.

How are they screwing a team out of a berth? Did Alabama screw a team out of a berth last year?

Boise needs to go undefeated and play for the national title and then get rolled by bama, florida or whoever. At least it would get us one step closer to a playoff...maybe.
