Do they have facts to back them up??? Yes most of them do. Do they have oppositions with facts to back them up??? Yes most of them do. Combine the facts and you have the whole truth so I choose to believe both. Not one or the other. I look at the facts as a whole not the theories. That is not what Russell's Teapot theory is about. I could say that yes there are aliens and that they are us from the future coming back to warn us about something in the past. It could be true but without facts or proof to back it up it or disprove it... it is nothing but bullshit. That is what Russell's Teapot theory is about.

I know what Russel's teapot is about....but since you said:

I assume unless something is 100% proven, then you don't believe it?

I also said that by combining the facts is the only way to get a hundred percent when two or more options have provable facts. Therefor none are an option to choose from and do not exist because all are right. Combining all provable facts creates the option I would choose!

Provable facts have been proven wrong plenty of times throughout history.

In the same way that the religious would insist that debaters use the correct terminology, the same goes for people using scientific ideas.

There are no provable physical facts. There is only evidence. That is why the science of physics deals in theories, not laws, regardless of the colloquial phrases like Laws of Nature or Law of Gravity or Laws of Thermodynamics.

Any new evidence that doesn't fit the established theory requires a new theory. It happens all the time and is a good thing. Which is why science is honest and religion is not. Most importantly, science works.
