Yes but "God" knows before you are even born if you will die and go to heaven or hell. Why bother to let people be born who are only going to go to hell anyways.
It is not a choice if "God" already knows the answer and if it is a choice then "God" is in no way shape or form all knowing.
It is the belief that nothing is set in stone but destiny will always have it's way! It is one of the most contradictory beliefs out there.

The word "knowledge" in the hebrew speaks of an intimate, experiential knowledge i.e. God didn't want them to experience evil. God called everything he created "very good" so I don't think he intended for us to not know "good".

Satan didn't have the power to force them to do anything, he could only deceive into destroying themselves. Being tempted isn't sin - giving in to the temptation is.

I don't think that "self-aware intellect" is what makes us distinct - I think it is the power to choose. Everything else operates from instinct.

The Bible was written by humans and it is a bunch of stories. The question is how much truth there is in the stories.

Because it's not His choice that anyone goes to hell. It's theirs.

Of course it is. God's not choosing for them, and He's not telling them what they'll choose. The choice is still theirs.

Agreed, which is why I don't believe in destiny.

The evidence I've seen, researched, and experienced that back up the claims in the stories.

God provided for mankind's redemption before the earth was created - before the creation of the world Jesus agreed to be slain and pay the price for sin.

If God set everything up so that there was no temptation then we would be no better than a goat or cow and incapable of showing and demonstrating our love and affection for him.
