FOX Sports Radio and ESPN Radio more than likely have different deals depending on the market. More than likely it would be a straight barter where the station would agree to run the network commercials. In some cases the networks pay stations to air their programming. Some networks charge a rights fee.

There are too many conflicts for one station to carry Panthers/Bobcats/Heels and Niners. I believe the Panthers stay at WBT. Tar Heels signed a contract with 610 for a few more years. Bobcats look like they will be on 610 or 1660 depending on conflicts. Niners will be on 1660 depending on conflicts.

Davidson, Knights and Checkers are said to be looking for new radio homes.

Duke will be on WHVN. ECU Football will be on 610 depending on conflicts. NC State stays on WXRC. App State will be on WAVO in Rock Hill and WEGO in Concord.

WEGO is all elevator music now. Why would anyone in this market listen to WAVO when WKBC-FM 97.3 is such a flamethrower?

Unbelievable. It sounds totally doable to just have a national feed at reasonable cost and throw in a local show (Packman) just for local stuff. Who know maybe he'd run his mouth off putting down ESPN and would get run off
I figured it would be next to impossible to have one station (hopefully with enough wattage to listen), that would essentially be a all sports channel. i still can't believe the Tarheels would sign with a station that is so limited in output to broadcast their basketball games which often occur at night when FNZ puts their gerbil power to bed

Forgot about WKBC. Not really a Charlotte market station. WAVO and WEGO are since they are in York and Cabarrus counties.

right, but for listening to Appalachian games, their signal is awful compared to WKBC - at least in Concord
