It was a pretty embarrassing opening week for ACC Football. NC State's puke producing effort against a very mediocre South Carolina team. Vagina falls to Bill and Mary. Dook get's taken to woodshed by Richmond. Va Tech loses to Alabama which was closer than what I though it could have been. I think that in many ways ACC Football is getting better but it's way past time that they start to prove it.

It needed to be 4 points closer. :sadbanana:

After two possessions, I thought we were gonna lose by 3 TD's. Thank you KO returns and refs.

ACC vs SEC shows a glaring separation between the have's and have not's.

The ACC – Brutal. Absolutely brutal. The ACC’s 4-6 weekend mark was comprised of just a single win over an FBS team, Middle Tennessee State. It was all downhill after Virginia Tech failed to carry the league banner in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff. Wake Forest was upset at home by Baylor. Maryland got ambushed by Cal. NC State couldn’t stay with South Carolina, despite just a 7-3 loss. Oh, and Virginia and Duke lost to teams from the Colonial Athletic Association. Now more than ever, the ACC needs Miami or Florida State to awake from its slumber.

VT faced a solid team in Bama who will contend for a SEC title. WF had their chance to win but in respect to Baylor, they have a QB who can make things happen with his feet or his arm. NC State couldn't hang with USC? When did losing 7-3 turn into "couldn't hang with a team?" Cal has a solid team this year and could give SoCal a run for their money. UVA and Duke......nevermind. Not a great start to the year but my god it's week one, not worried about teams like State, VT or WF. They have solid coaches and players within the program who will get things turned around.

I guess the ACC's "We want respect" mantra will take a hiatus at least for this week.

VT losing to Bama isn't bad since Bama was ranked higher for whatever that's worth.

The CAA owning the ACC is a little embarrassing though.

LOL. Tuder has a suggestion. The ACC should stop opening with out of conference opponents. That way, the worst the league could do is 6-6.

    ACC can cut its losses

At least FSU and Miami both look like real teams. Been a while for each.

What a great game. Jacory Harris had a great game, 386 yards passing.
