pretty sucky game so far. State still sucks across the O-Line. And when I said on that other thread I hoped Baker had a killer season I didn't mean I hoped he would kill their season. That was a really bad first play for both him and State.

Two Evenly Matched Teams @ Halftime

    Both offenses are struggling!

    Score One For The SEC!

Both of these teams have alot of work to do!
    State Offense was anemic!
Not a good showing by Wilson.

Give the game ball to the South Carolina Defense!

    I repeat

    State's O-Line sucked.

Did SCAR really have a bunch of D-linemen starters out? Hell State's best blocker was Baker picking up in the backfield. But his fumble really did hurt. w/o that it was probably a 3-0 game. Both offenses have a long way to go.

I'm not even sure if SC deserves to brag about this win. I thought these NFL pre season games were sloppy until I watched this God awful game.

Yep, it was ugly. Without Baker's fumble, it might have ended 3-0 which is just awful. Wilson looked bad tonight. Tentative, slow, and almost scared to run until the 4th quarter. We've got two D1-AAs coming up so we better get this offense right because it's Pitt after that.

Believe it or not, I felt bad for Baker. It looked like he bounced back pretty well though.

I'll be very very mad and disappointed if UNC opens up playing that way. I felt sure that NC State would win this game since it was at their place. And as much trash as I talk, I actually wanted them to win, because I'm sick of hearing how great the SEC is. If it makes you feel any better though, I don't see Garcia leading SC very far. In fact, I'll be surprised if he lasts through the season if he keeps taking those hits.

I really felt bad for Baker too. He's been through a lot and I'm sure he wanted to show something with that first carry and it ended up losing the game for us. Nobody can feel worse about that than Baker.

As bad as I say RW looked, he had 4 drops that I can remember where he put the ball where it needed to be and the WRs didn't catch it. We need better play from them and we really need Vermiglio (sp?) back on the field. Wallace wasn't ready tonight and looked bad. I expect a better showing three weeks from now against Pitt.

D wasn't bad. We have a very young secondary but they played pretty well (Rashard Smith is going to be a good one). Not sure why it took so long for us to figure out to pressure Garcia. That kid is the absolute suck at QB.
