    The national media is making a big deal about this, but I'm guessing Pete Carroll is using this to motivate Aaron Corp. I'm thinking Corp will eventually be the starter.

    We can agree to disagree. I don't believe Southern Cal (pre-season #4) will be down. They will be in the National Championship discussion thru-out the season. If the SEC can produce an undefeated team after all the dust settles (regular-season & SEC Title Game), then the National Champ may come from that conference. Florida is everybody's #1, but it won't be easy for them to run the table in the SEC. Pete Carroll is loaded with talent because Southern Cal dominates west coast recruiting, something that can't happen on the east side. His depth at every position far surpasses most of the championship contenders.

    Hands down, the SEC is a much stronger conference than the Pac. 10. Florida will have to beat LSU (11th), Georgia (13th), & the rest of their conference games+ Florida State (18th) & a likely SEC Title Game matchup against another strong team in the other side of the conference (possibly Alabama (5th) or Mississippi (8th) to go undefeated. That's a tough road! Southern Cal doesn't have the same obstacles.

    We do not have a National Champion in College Football. You can't have a champion without a playoff.
