    Sonofabiddich is much better

Miriam MacCrea's is pretty good, if you can get past the signature ball of pubic hair sitting around at the bottom of each bottle

back when i drank alcoholically scotch was my staple.

my dad likes the johnny walkers, i thought it had a bitter bite. my grandfather got me started on the Cutty Sark. after a time i progressed into the single malts and they are like fine beer and wine. so many to choose from each with a unique flavor depending on the region, the water source, the barley malt and the oaken casks used.

my suggestion is to find a blended whiskey you like. try cutty, johnny walker, j&b or the famous grouse. i liked the grouse and the cutty best.

when you do begin drinking the expensive scots whiskey you will find out that after 2 or three your taste buds become anesthetized to subtle flavors and i would switch to your favorite blended brand.

there are several good ways to drink it.

straight up, best way to appreciate the single malts

on the rocks, imo the ice dulls the flavor

    with water,

    with soda water

    add lemon

i drank it with water and one small ice cube. my dad drinks it on the rocks with soda and a lemon twist.

enjoy, it will make you bullet proof and invisible.

Johnnie Walker red w/a splash on the rocks.

[I've been drinking mostly Gordon gin w/lime & tonic this summer.]

who added the scotch egg tag? nice.

I'm not completely new to it, just haven't really put any thought into it.

not a big scotch drinker (I like irish whisky better) but I had a glass of the blue (just to see what $200 a bottle booze tastes like) and it's pretty good.

Johhny walker plaid comes out next year. $500 a bottle

I was unaware of Walker blue until I ran across it recently in a Robert B. Parker novel. :)

Plaid, sounds like the ultimate scotch whiskey. Or are you joking?
