    I'd have gone into the poorhouse before I'd have driven that fucker into the ground; $450 alternator, or was it $750, I forgit, etc. It was still a good car. I just wouldn't have survived the 10-12 years thing cars go through.

    I know where you're coming from jazz. An officer I work with had the transmission repaired in his 2 weeks ago. The bill was over $2,000 bucks and it tore up again this week,same problem. Those caddi's are a high maintenance piece of shit.

    Actually he had it repaired at a reputable GM dealership in Hickory NC.

    The cad dealer here stands behind their work. My repair had a little paint run on a rear side panel and a little paint on the taillight "chrome". I didn't accept it, they fixed it, perfectly. And they didn't make me feel like I was being persnickety about it.

    Ummm... a good repair shop wouldn't expect someone to take a caddy with a fucking run and they sure as hell wouldn't accidentally paint your chrome. A good shop wouldn't even try to get away with giving it to the customer that way.

    That was yesterday :idea3: And I was cranky. The retards putting in a new waterline broke my fucking line and I didn't have water. I wasn't happy. Right now they have a 6 foot deep trench across my driveway and I can't leave. Can't drive across the yard because I'm on a steep hill.

    But... anyway, I just don't understand the "work from a licensed dealer is going to be high quality" mentality. I've been around enough to know that dealers will charge you twice as much for labor and their work isn't any better (as evidenced by runs and painted chrome). It's kinda stupid....
