    Dangerous Start For Pirates:

Thou ECU is certainly capable & may be favored in a couple of these games, an 0-3 start is not out of the question with a bad start to the season.
    Appalachian State
    @ West Virginia
    @ North Carolina

On the flip side, a 3-0 start is also possible! Winning at West Virginia will be tough & who knows what kind of team UNC will have. App. State will be a battle, that's for sure!

September 5th: Armanti Edwards vs. Patrick Pinkney

    2008:
    Edwards: 30 TD's, 9 int. 2902 yards passing, 941 rushing!
    Pinkney: 13 TD's, 7 int. 2675 yards passing, 50 rushing!

    QB Rating:
    Edwards: 170.2
    Pinkney: 131.3

Will this be a 50-49 game?

    Which defense will step up?

    Any predictions?

Word is that the stitches are out & he should be 100% by the ECU game.

    1-2 Start

Pirates have given up 90 points in first 3 games.

Do they get it together vs. Central Florida?

    ECU struggles continue

Sounds like the same script as last year; no offense so defense needs to carry us. I am not so sure though that the defense can carry us the rest of the way without any offensive help.

Why don't we shake things up and insert Jordan or Johnson at QB?

Rob Kass is an impressive blocker at TE. Really holds his blocks and clears the way unlike the other receivers who either don't get on their man or let up too early. I hope he catches a TD pass before the year is over.

But with all that said, we do have first place in the East of CUSA. It was also nice that Houston lost big yesterday. Take care of business one at a time.
