I'm not trying to dump on him, it's just who he is as a player.

I'm okay with that, but it's not like a shiny new TE is what the O is missing, we do well enough already.

In thinking about how they have passed over upgrades just realized that every team in the division has upgraded to pro bowl TEs the last 2 years.

That's an excellent point. Shockey, Gonzalez, and Winslow. Dang.

Gonzo is the only worry, the canes seem to have injury/asshole problems.

I think I get it, to a point now (don't agree, but get the idea).

We have three bigtime skill players - Smith, Williams, Stewart. Moose comes in a respectable fourth.

Because it's clear to me that these are our bigtime players, the guys who should get the ball more than anyone else, I don't see a need for radical improvement out of the secondary positions or disappointment in players who are roleplayers.

A lot of fans worry about these secondary players - the type that want Hakeem Nicks drafted, or that talk about Mike Goodson and whether he'll be adequate in relief.

It's the expectation that the quality of the player determines whether or not our offense will be better - i.e., if Mike Goodson is as good as advertised, our offense will be much better! If Dwayne Jarrett can come to play this year, won't our offense be unstoppable?

There aren't that many balls to go around, and most of them are going where they should. These other players aren't going to save us.
