When Charlotte brings in football in 2012 hopefully they can work on getting into the Big East. With Charlotte and East Carolina this would round out the conference with 10 teams.

Who else could be added instead of East Carolina?

UNCC doesnt need to be in the Big East. At best, Southern Conference because they need to be 1-AA for a while.

You need money first. Something they seem lacking in.

Charlotte has decided to go the route of PSL's to try to raise money to start the football program. Prices are 1,000 for seats outside the 30's and like 2,500 for seats between the 30's.

The question is...do they have enough of a fan base, especially those types of people who are more likely to buy the expensive seats? That's the question...

Evidently there is a new monthly plan to help ease the costs of the FSLs. Hopefully that will be promoted sooner or later. I mean, something like $50 month is a lot easier than plumping down $1,000 for most folks in this economy.

I see your point, but no time is a good time to start something as expensive as football. The installment plan should help. I don't really care about what conference, etc at this point. Just getting past the negative info from the Observer, push back from UNC system honchos, this economy, etc.. is enough right now.
