I'm going to have a boatload of tomatoes, as I planted way too many. What kind of crap does everyone use them for? I'm thinking Salsa, Tomato sauce, sliced tomatoes, salads.....and then I start to run out of ideas. What other crap do people use their tomatoes for?

I actually planted 2 of the Heinz hybrid tomatoes. I could certainly try, but I have the feeling it'll taste like $hit. I'll probably give it a go anyway, thanks for pointing out what should've been obvious to me, I need it sometimes.

Put a bunch in a bag and lob it up on your neighbor's roof when he's not looking. This creates fun in the not too distant future.

LOL. Here's a recipe for you.

    Ingredients:
    • 1 Kg Ripe tomatoes
    • 1/2 Cup sugar
    • 2 Cups vinegar
    • 2 tbsp Mustard (dry)
    • 1 tbsp Black pepper
    • 1 tsp Cloves

    How to make Tomato Ketchup:
    • Heat the tomatoes till they get boiled.
    • Drain so that seeds are removed.
    • Keep them for cooling.
    • Now add sugar, vinegar, dry mustards, black pepper and cloves.
    • Cook it over medium heat for 3 hours.
    • Put it into jars and seal it properly.
    • Process it in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
    • Tomato Ketchup is ready.

Just boil them up with some italian seasoning you enjoy, freeze it and you'll have much better spaghetti sauce next winter.
