Is there any way you can rig the remotes on your own garage door opener to make it work on other people's garages?

    :worry-rose:

I've also heard that static electricity can cause power switches on regular household applicances to control appliances in other people's homes. I've often heard the story of a man — we'll call him "Jeff" — who could control his neighbor's blender by rubbing an inflated balloon on his head to create static electricity. Jeff's neighbor — we'll call him "Wayne" — was having a party and didn't invite Jeff. Jeff did the balloon trick and used his blender to wreak havoc on Wayne's party while Wayne was making daiquiris out on the back deck. Jeff would wait until Wayne had put all the ingredients into the blender and, before he could put the lid on, would turn on his own blender, causing Wayne's blender to shoot ice, rum, and daiquiri mix all over his face.

So, you know, if this is a true story I'd appreciate someone letting me know. I've checked snopes and it's neither been confirmed nor refuted.

Lastly. If I take an extension cord and bare the wires on one end and flop that end into a mud puddle, can I wait until an unsuspecting cat or dog walks into the puddle, plug the cord in and shock said cat or dog? If this works, I'd like to try it on the neighbor's birdbath. thanks in advance.

Indeed. Get'cha a new opener from Sears and wait until the neighbor comes home. When they hit the button to open their door, you hit the button on your new opener and wallah, your opener copied the code from your neighbors, giving you "full access" if you know what I mean.

This is how I "got to know" the lady down the street :kwijl:

Seems like a wreaking bar and sledge hammer would be just as effective, for us less than sophisticates.
