Derek Lowe is starting to look like a grrrrreat sign. Why the Dodgers did not keep him is beyond me, but I'm glad they let him slip away.

They've been playing well over the last two weeks for sure. For the most part they've gotten solid pitching from their starters, the bullpen not so much. I still worry most over the offense though. Inconsistent to many games and wasting some well pitched games. I wish they had a couple more HR threats in the middle of the lineup.

I know the Braves considered going after Raul Ibanez who ended up with the Phillies. The guy would sure look good in the middle of the Atlanta lineup.

Braves just released Glavine who was slated to start on Sunday. It's the right thing to do in a business sense but they're gonna get slammed in the press for it.

You now have a center fielder.

Picking up McLouth is a very good move IMO. He can hit, can drive in runs, and steal bases.

It was a good move for the Braves. Maybe he can add some spark to the offense. They've wasted some well pitched games this season because of the offense. They've been treading water all year but so far they're still just a few games back. Hanson was called up as well, so we can see what he's got.
