Now that the John Wall saga is over (he's going to Kentucky), I wanna mention how very pleased I am with the 09 recruiting class coming in to Raleigh...

    Lorenzo Brown -PG/SG (4-star)
    Richard Howell -PF(4-Star)
    Scott Wood -SF (3-Star)

And the addition of these players since the end of the College Basketball season...

Josh Davis -SG (2-star) Raleigh area guy who benefit from the departure of Ferguson

Jordan Vandenberg -C (NR) 7-footer from Australia who will provide good depth in the interior

DeShawn Painter -PF (4-star) This recent commit is a huge pickup in terms of immediate help he will provide. Painter originally signed an LOI with Florida for 2010 due to grades. Well, Painter worked hard and became eligable for the 09 class. Florida granted his release. State beat Maryland in the last minute battle for Painter.

With the addition of Panter, scouts.com now has State's 09 class ranked 13th. Like I said, I am very pleased with what Sid and his assistants have done.

I am very happy with the class Sid is bringing in. Really addressed a lot of needs that we needed.

With that said, it is up to Sid now to prove himself. He has rid himself of Herb's players and now he needs to prove himself as a coach with the players he signed.

We needed a big man. Of course he isn't the most highly talented prospect but he gives some height underneath.

On the Guinness World Records website, Fingleton says: "I am one of three siblings - my sister who is 6'3" is the eldest at 30, my brother is 6'8" who is 29 and I am 7'7" at 26… my mother is 6 foot and my father was also. My great grandfather was 6'8". I have always been taller than everyone since I can remember. My height really took off when I reached 11 and was touching 7 foot. By the time I was 16 I was 7'5" and stopping growing at 18 when I was 7'7.56".
