Another way of looking at is like this.... You ask me 10 days ago if the Canes would be happy going to seven games against a #1 seed. I'd take that every day of the week and twice on Sunday. The Canes are playing with "house money" as they've come further than they should.

I think we played much better last night than we did on Sunday. We out-shot them and out-hit them. Unfortunately, we thought the game started at 730pm last night when the puck actually dropped at 7pm, and those two early goals were a tough hole to climb out of.

    I'm still keeping the faith.

a number one seed getting knocked out of the stanley cup playoffs, especially after the first round, is hardly unheard of. Any pressure the Bs had was felt during the first game or two of this series. Once they got behind 3-1, and guys like Barry Melrose started chirping that the series was over, the pressure shifted to the canes. It's obvious they couldn't handle it.

It's nice that you'd settle for simply taking Boston to seven games (twice on Sunday, even), but I doubt any carolina players would.

There were games as recent as FEB/MAR where I thought we'd be on a golf course at the end of the regular season. :)

Boston is now extremely confident. The fans are arrogant. The media has written us off. The Canes are no longer expected to win, which is when they seem to play their very best (see Edmonton/Buffalo in 2006 and NJ in 2009).

Cam Ward, 3-0 in game sevens.

We'll know the outcome in 27 hours. I'm hoping for another win for the good guys, but will be proud of what they accomplished if not.
