    They walked into an open house in a development community. If it had been an adult it would've been assumed they were looking to buy. Is this really a crime?

    Do they own it or have authorization to be there? If not, it's breaking and entering (assuming the door wasn't left wide open, in which case it would just be unlawful entry).

    Does anyone really believe 3 16-18 year olds are touring houses to buy them? Randomly, just driving down the street and popping in to a house they are thinking of buying?

    I'm not saying its 100% right, but its the kinda stupid thing I'd have done as a kid. Nothing really bad about it. That's why the kids were given a citation. I'm just saying its such a minor offense that its almost not an offense.

    FWIW 1 of those 3 kids is about a year away from being able to buy most of that development.
