I wanted Moala or Gilbert. If you told me we would've gotten both, I'd have been very happy. I did figure we'd get an end that was smaller, and that rushed outside more. Never figured we'd get one this good.

Did Brown have first round potential? Yes. Did I expect we'd get a guy this good today without giving up Peppers? No. Is he as good a pass rusher as anyone in this draft? IMO, yes.
I don't want to change your mind, but hopefully you understand where I'm from on this.

I am still worried about whether we're going to stop the run, and that was my biggest worry. I'm still worried about our OL depth. But I think we'll address these issues.

Good comments. I know we want to rush the passer/stop the run on every down. However, let's remember we have run stoppers in C. Johnson and the guy we picked up from Oakland last year.

Brown probably starts out as a situational pass rusher. That is fine really. We have some guys who can play base end pretty well. If he works out well it will be like Otah, getting our first rounder a year early.

My biggest fear with this though is that given our tough schedule our first rounder might be a fairly high pick.

Brown is from a small town 25 miles or so from Bailey where Peppers is from. Peppers has a new minimee?

at least you are being positive. if our first next year is a top 10 which isnt that much of a stretch, its essentially giving up a top 10 guy for brown.
