    A 2 now for a 1 next year really isn't terrible value.
    I don't know if I would've done it.


    But, think of it this way. Last year they decided to dedicate to the run. They succeeded. They were deliberate. Now they're doing this with this. Bring on the DT now.

    Also, Hurney did learn from Beathard. And Beathard I don't think ever had a current 1st round pick.

    He's undersized as far as height and weight and not worth a 1st. The 4th round pick is a backup at best.

    I think now they'll try to trade Peppers to regain next year's first (once he signs his tender).

    Brown was expected to be a no. 1 this year, and would have certainly been one next season. Not bad value.

    Good possibility. Don't see Brown as a replacement for Peppers though, but I guess it's leverage.

    Is DE Michael Johnson out of GT not a similar player to Brown though? I just have a hard time continuing to give up 1st's. It puts us in tough situations when we need something seriously in the future (QB??)...
