    Did you watch the Super Bowl he played in. I was a little drunk but remind me of the 5 picks he threw in that KEY game. Muhammed picked one off for 86, Proehl for 12, and Smith for 39.

    Its 20 million guaranteed, its not a signing bonus, its not up front!

    Its basically a 5year 20 million $ contract, 4million a year plus bonuses and such....

    Come on now, we're not stupid enough to give a 34yr old a 42mill contact!!
    Give the front office a little more credit....we can now keep Peppers and sign a couple free agents after the draft.

    Our front office takes a man who probably set an all-time record for poor performances in playoff games,,, and don't get me wrong I understand we need capspace to sign more players, but the timing of giving this man a 42.5 mil contract extension just don't smell good. I have a feeling folks around the NFL may be laughing at us this morning when they hear this.

    Someone asked about the players losing confidence in Jake,,, I don't think theres no question IT IS ENTIRELY POSSIBLE, theres been waaaaay more than just one Arizona game to bitch about. Jake probably has more threads about him than all the other players combined. Look at this mornings' Observer, theres already 10 pages of comments.

    And we wonder why Peppers wants out... :piss:

    all time record for poor playoff performances?

    he's had 2 shitty games, 3 exceptional games (all roadies), and two more wins with solid, turnover-free performances.

    favre, on the other hand, forked over several playoff games (including a 6-turnover fiasco in the 2001 divisional round).

    willing to accept the delhomme bashing, until it become pure bullshit.

    ... and I don't mind Delhomme supporters either. But PLEASE don't give Delhomme credit for every single win we've ever had. At least give Smith and Moose credit for repeatedly launching thier bodies up in double/triple coverage and fighting to come down with those prayers.
