did not see that the chang/miles connection coming. so now charlotte was born on the island and miles was born on the island, too. interesting.

so faraday was actually OFF the island, eh? i wonder what he was doing. clearly there was some purpose to have him be gone for this period of time.

i'm really shocked to find the "what lies in the shadow of the statue" people are NOT with widmore. these are the people who took over the "new" camp of folks... who the fuck are they? what is in the shadow of the statue, i wonder?

i have to admit the series has lasted a lot longer than i thought it would. getting off the island was really not very interesting, imo.

The "shadow of the staute" folks have me perplexed. I think its the well that lies in the shadow though. Sucks there no new episode tonight.

What?? I thought they had been promoting some special tonight. Is it just a couple of reruns or something?

i dunno. maybe. the statue DID show up once when they were bouncing around time and i think they were near the well when it did. i kinda thought the foot on the beach was the remnant of the statue. i suppose if it was big enough it could be something else far away.

on the other hand, "what lies in the shadow of the statue" might not be something that actual lies as in placement, but lies as in doesn't tell the truth. this could be a person or perhaps some other source of information.

i didn't bother watching it. was it just reruns? i had figured they're recut the oceanic 6's story to be linear or something now that the story of them off the island is mostly filled in.

Yep. I watched it and it put O6 stuff in order.... It did confirm that Widmore planted the fake pane. I was convinced of that from Some like it hoth but others on Lostpedia werent so sure.

    wow crazy.

so ellie will eventually get the notebook, right? i mean, she made sure to give him one and clearly she seems to know a lot stuff, talking about his destiny, etc. and then "for the first time in a long time she doesn't know what's going to happen" implies that her source of knowledge failed -- ie, the guy taking notes died.

i gotta say, tho, coming in firing is a pretty lame way to convince somebody you wanna talk to them.

also, the bit where he explained that any one of them could die was an explanation for the viewing audience who don't get it so they would understand when he got shot that it was possible for him to die. it was totally unnecessary in terms of story, but like the discussion with hurley and miles a few episodes back, it was meant to explain things to the viewing audience.

    sooooooo.....

i'm guessing the nuke actually didn't stop anything and instead the folks of 2009 somehow got everybody back. perhaps in "killing" jacob? i dunno. the white flash was probably just another flash. that or it kicked the record back into the proper groove rather than fixing things. i mean, keep in mind that faraday's folks were insistent that he go to the island. the only reason for that was to do what he did which must have been important in actually CREATING the events that followed rather than attempting to change them.

so the other guy (titus welliver from deadwood) took the form of locke. he probably also took the form of alex to convince ben to do his work. interesting. they're really setting up an angel/devil relationship between the two. clearly he'll be back at some point cuz the actor playing him isn't just some random no-name actor.

guess we'll see what's what next season. seems like sayid and julliette are goners, tho.
