    See, I don't know. Maybe I am biased being a grad but I would rather just have hard-core fans than those who pull for my team just because they win and then can't be found if they start to lose. Again, that could very well be my bias and the fact that well, heck, we haven't exactly won much in the last 2.5 decades (yes, I can admit that).

    i never attended college either.

    but several people who work for me did. this one dude can even tear a paper towel off the roll. we talk about rock n roll too.

    Going into college definitely doesn't guarantee success. Got a family member who went to UNC, racked up student loan debt and a DUI, and has struggled.

    College will open some doors. Having a terrible work ethic and/or bad life decisions will close doors.

    Yeah, but you also have to look at the success that Carolina is having in other sports too. Their loyalties are a bit more divided because of the success of mens and womens soccer, mens and womens basketball, baseball, mens and womens Lacrosse...etc.

    They have other programs that deserve support, and they won't tolerate a loser.

    even I was excited about the rumors he was going to be fired. I guess they were just rumors :alien:

    Other thing too though is that without basketball, you wouldn't have a fanbase. My UNC friends don't brag about women's soccer or we would rag the mess out of them (yes, I know championships and all but it is still women's soccer, come on).
