Seth Curry Announces He is Becoming an A—hole

Seth Curry, who starred as a freshman this season at Liberty University and is the younger brother of Davidson star Stephon Curry, announced this week that he is becoming a total prick.
“I felt this was the best decision for me,” he said. “I’m only 18 years old, but I see how the world works. It would be great to be a nice guy. But only a—holes really get ahead in our society. And I don’t think there’s a better training ground for a—holes than Duke University. Duke University is the biggest and brightest stage an aspiring a—hole can ever reach.”

Curry said he didn’t ever feel he belonged at Liberty.

“I think I was way to good for that place,” he said, trying to shed his former good-guy persona. “It’s in some hick town in Nowhere, Virginia. I don’t think I met a single kid there with a trust fund. Can you believe that?” he added, picking up smug, elitist steam. “And get this: they don’t even have frat parties there. It’s some kind of Jesus school. And I mean that literally and figuratively. There was a kid there named Jesus! He was Mexican or something. I hear that at Duke, only the people who clean our dorms are Mexican. That sounds right to me.”

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski said he is excited to welcome Seth Curry to Duke.

“I’ll admit – I whiffed on recruiting him the first time around,” said Krzyzewski. “He had plenty of basketball talent, but his parents seemed to be nice, compassionate, grounded people. I didn’t think Seth was enough of a dickhead to play here. I thought he had some likable qualities. But when I talked to him on the phone the other day after he left Liberty, he came across as a complete prick. A real Grade A douche bag. It was right then that I offered him a scholarship. He exuded Duke basketball through and through.”

While he won’t be able to take the court as a Duke player until the 2010-2011, Curry said he plans to immediately get working on becoming an epically proportioned wad of douche.

“I can’t wear a Duke uniform for a year, but I can still pop my collar,” he said. “I can still carry myself with a sense of unearned superiority. I can still be an a—hole. And if I do all that, the on-the-court stuff – the flopping, the complaining – that stuff will all come naturally.”
