Sure, whatever you say. I have no problems admitting someone I hate is great. I hate Coach K, Calimari, Boehiem and Calhoun. I can't stand any program that those guys are associated with. Just like Roy Williams. But I don't let my disgust taint my thinking.

I honestly believe what Calimari has done at Mempiss and at Umass is way more impressive than anything Roy Williams has done. Yeah, he choked last year. He had the best team in the country by a wide margin and shit the bed in the title game. I love it, I think it's great. But with the class he would have had at Mempiss next year he probably would have won it all. That is totally all conjecture now and it doesn't matter.

Whatever.

Wouldn't you think a coach that could arguably be coaching the team of the decade should get a little more respect than saying he's an average coach and an average recruiter?

The program is very strong in and of itself, but come on. National Coach of the year in 2006, 2 National Titles, 3 Final Fours, 4 Regular Season ACC Titles, 2 ACC Tournament Titles all since coming to North Carolina. Do you really think Doh or Gut could have done that?

He's made a difference and to say he's an average coach and an average recruiter is a way of belittling what he's accomplished there.

 

Sure, you may hate those other guys, but it's no secret of the hardon you and most of the other 49ers have for UNC. By the statements you have made in this thread alone show that you are being biased.

 

Gut was a shitty coach and a horrible recruiter. He sat on the sidelines and crunched ice on the way to a final four. Doh is a mediocre coach and not that impressive a recruiter. But he still landed one hell of a recruiting class.

Just because I don't eat up chapel hill bullshit and I think you guys are pathetic for not supporting your school (if you were even smart enough to go college) doesn't mean I don't give credit where it is due.
