I have no idea on that one. The comparison is between Dean's and K's teams - don't know about the others.

47 losses in the past four seasons. 2 NCAA tournament wins in the past five years. Both times he's won the Big East tournament in the past 17 seasons he's followed it up with a first round NCAA loss...the man is a coaching genius. Clearly with a resume like that, he's tops in the profession.

Do you even watch college basketball?

We still talking about Boheim? Isn't he like 3rd only behind Coach K and Calhoun on the wins list among active coaches? I pulled that from Wikipidia so lord knows if it's correct.

Dates weren't wrong, they were chosen with a reason. Already admitted I overlooked the 2000 Olympics, but when you're coming with this many facts sometimes you make mistakes. Where are your facts?

    Here's some more facts:

1976 Olympic Team comprised of 12 future NBA players. Everyone on the team played at the least 2 years in the NBA with more than a handful going on to make All-Star teams. Admittedly the roster still pales compared to the 2008 roster as far as NBA accomplishments, but the roster would look VERY impressive compared to what we see in college nowadays. You are painting Smith as taking 12 walk-ons and walking on water on the way to a Gold Medal after years of tragedy and it's just not true (see I can put words into your mouth too.)

I never claimed K's Gold was 'teh most impressive gold EVAR' I merely stated that K's accomplishment was greater than Smith's. I stand by that. I'm not going to look up the opponents that the US faced in 1976 and see if they had a ton of NBA players. But I will remind you that 2008 Spain started 4 NBA players (including an All-Star and potential future All-Star) and future potential #1 overall pick Ricky Rubio. 2008 Argentina also had four NBA players and an All-Star. The competition is much closer between FIBA international basketball and NBA 'SuperStar' talent today than it was between international basketball and the top college kids in 1976. I wonder if the team in 1976 even faced one NBA player, much less a team full of them with an All-Star or two sprinkled in.

I would say it's a stupid comparison but you'd quote that out of context as a way to prove you won the argument.

It's correct. He has about 800 wins. 250 in the last 10 years. He doesn't get near the quality of players as UConn, Duke and UNC (so he doesn't measure up as a recruiter; he does as a coach) and still manages to have one of the top teams in college basketball's top conference.

    Fucko is an idiot.
