    Plate Dad used to gorge himself with Hardee's "Big Twin" hamburgers. Hardee's re-structured their menu and stopped making the Big Twin. Occasionally Hardee's will offer the Big Twin on their menu for a short time only. Plate Dad often craves the Big Twin.

    does the "plate" in Plate Dad's name refer to the metal plate that's in his skull from his traumatic head injury?

    Not really considered a 'head injury'. A 3"x3" section of his skull was removed to help alleviate pressure on his brain due to the aneurysm he had as a result of eating too many Big Twins.
