I think whether or not John Wall gets a scholarship offer depends a lot on who declares for the draft. We have four graduating seniors. I think everybody would agree that Lawson is going pro. We have five incoming freshman, so if Ellington and Davis decide to stay we don't have a sixth scholarship.

    I don't see Ellington staying.

Ellington is the third Heel drafted in most mock drafts, behing Lawson and Davis but just ahead of hansbro at the tail end of first round.

Been a while, but Rasheed Wallace was dumb as a pile of bricks. They had a 700 watch for him and the SATs in Philly. It took him several attempts. Amazing that a guy that has/had that much basketball savy was that stupid.

No it's really not that amazing. He's not that savvy a player either. He leads the free world in technical fouls for the course of his career. Wallace was a borderline idiot and his mother was worse. The Athletic Department has yet to get over the Hell she raised after moving to Chapel Hill from Philly. Wallace is one that would have been better off going to Georgetown or Villanova or Kentucky or Syracuse or take your pick. Rasheed Wallace is not a name that is mentioned very often in Chapel Hill.

Who was that guy who came here for a year from Bradenton Fl (same home as Dickie V) later transferred to Louisville and never heard from again. All but refused to play defense

Completely agree. We weren't recruiting this kid. Wall mentioned he wanted offers from UNC and dook, with only the dook one coming months after. I don't know what's changed and why we're looking at him now.
I do know one thing - if he doesn't do what Roy asks of him - he'll be on the bench. Tough for an ego to be in that position.

And he played in a Final Four and made it to the NBA.

Roy is meeting with Wall on Thurs. I don't exactly understand the 'why now' recruiting of Wall, but I trust Roy. We'll see how it plays out. The kid's definitely a baller and we'd be glad to have him. Would be fun to steal him from dook at the last second, too. Think dookies will completely flip and start talking about how horrible he is if he goes somewhere else?
