How many players from this year' UNC team...

Bob McAdoo would have to be in there for most dominating five, but he didn't really play too long for UNC.

 

Some of y'all need to search back past 1980.

Any starting 5 of the best is going to need Billy Cunningham. And if you are trying to assemble the best team, Bobby Jones would be on it because he may be the best defensive player not named Chamberlain or Russell to ever play college ball. McAdoo, Davis, Scott, Smith, and Rosenbluth are all in the conversation too.

 

I understand some of the arguments against Hansbrough, but the guy is the ACC All time leading scorer. He has to be on the all time starting five.

 

Don't leave out Larry Miller if ya wanna go old school.

 

Absolutely disagree. They play a TON more games now than they did even in the late 80s. Also (not that it benefitted Hansbrough) the 3 point line changes things, and players before the late 60's only played 3 years. Don't forget that the guy who had the record before Redick broke it only played 3 years at Wake Forest.

For the record JJ Redick isn't on my list of Top 5 Duke Starters.

I barely remember Charlie Scott. My parents have had season tickets since the Dick Grubar, Dennis Wychick (sp) days. Walter Davis will always be my favorite Tarheel. McAdoo was an absolute beast in his one year on the Hill

 

There may be better basketball players at his position, but Tyler deserves to be on the team.
