Who taught you how to cook?

    I think you gotta have a "knack" to know how to cook. It's hard for me to understand how someone can screw up the same ingridients I use. But then if they asked me to make a craft, I could use same materials and they'd think "where the heck did that come from" I can pretty much whip up a meal out of any kitchen's ingridients.

    Mostly self taught, occasionally I'll cop a recipe from a book.

    My Dad

    Raised & taught me. Left us Nov 2008. Taught me how to work the soil, plant the seed, care for it, can it and cook it. I won a few blues at the Dixie Classic in the late 70's. Jams, Jellies and produce. Still have them today. Not a farm boy. Just a kid with a 1/4 acre side yard in Rural Hall. Now wished I had it back.

    Learned how to grill from both parents and a couple of friends. The rest I learned in Home Ec.
