We talked about this a bit in another thread, but it's worthwhile discussing in a separate thread.
Memphis is still the leader for Raleigh Word of God basketball point guard John Wall. The 6-foot-4 point guard visited Duke on Sunday and he said he learned a lot about the Duke program from Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski. "It was great to meet Coach K and talk him to him," Wall said Monday night. "Everybody is always saying what he says or what he thinks, but I was good to talk to him and get the answers to my questions. "He showed me around campus and we were able to talk very frankly. I learned a lot about the program." Wall said Krzyzewski told him that Duke program would use him in an offense similar to the one used by the Blue Devils when Jason Williams was the point guard. "He told me the program had not had a point guard in a while that could penetrate and create," Wall said. "Duke has lots of great players and players who can really score. I would be surrounded by great players there." Wall said Memphis is still his leader, even though there are questions about head coach John Calipari's interest in the Kentucky head coaching job.
Memphis is on track to have 3 #1 rated players in their positions coming out of high school next year (assuming nothing happens with Calipari). Has that ever happened at one school before?

Somebody Google the numbers on the Fab Five. I'm too lazy.

This is from wikipedia, so take it for what it is.
As high school players all five members of the Fab Five were rated in the top 100 of high school prospects in 1991. Chris Webber was ranked #1, Juwan Howard was ranked #3, Jalen Rose was ranked #6, Jimmy King was ranked #9, and Ray Jackson was ranked #84. All but Jackson participated in the McDonald's All American game in 1991

Demarcus Cousins has already said he'll reopen his recruitment and evidently Xavier Henry said he has a written agreement with Memphis that requires the school to release him from his letter of intent if Calipari leaves.

So i just read that Cal is going to "sleep on it".....he may not leave....

What I can't figure out is why Cal would go to UK and think he could bring the kids that he has at Memphis.....I don't know the SEC's requirements but I would think that academics are held in a higher regard than at Memphis (esp. for athletes).....It just looks to me like Cal could not get the kids into UK that he is getting into Memphis.....a sticking point for him not coming to NCSU was the 4 math requirement (among a few other things).....He basically told State that he's never recruited a kid that could meet the entrance requirements.

he's not leaving, he's playing it perfect making Memphis sweat, give him more money and he'll keep winning in a shitty conference while cheating and making alot of money doing it.

Not sure why anyone would want the UK job, honestly. Would need a big name and big personality (and instant results) to make it there.
