Funny to think that Pitino is the 'odd one out' of that group now. Says a lot for what Roy has accomplished at UNC. If he wins this year with his players it will be clear that Pitino doesn't belong.

How does Pitino not belong? Because he would have only won one title? He has 4 Final Fours and a title. He also is the only one of that group to try his hand at the NBA (and he could be said to be responsible for building the base for the current Celtics team), so he didn't have the opportunity to win as many games as the other three. There is no doubt that he is a great coach. I would say he is on par with K, better than Williams and they are probably all inferior to Knight.

Didn't say he wasn't a great coach, but you answered yourself on how he 'doesn't belong.'

Calhoun and even Tom Izzo have more impressive NCAA records imo.

4 Final Fours with all his talent? 1 at Providence remember, so only 3 since he's become a 'huge coach.'

LOL @ him building the base of the current Celtics. You want to substantiate that claim?

perhaps the stupidest thing you've ever posted. All Pitino's ever done is taken three different teams to a Final Four in three different decades. four FF total with one championship. If Coach Krzxvzeshzeswski quit today and Duke offered the job to Pitino, you'd be first in line to cup his balls.

    The fuck I would.

Just to be clear on your troll, are you saying Pitino is better than K? Or better than Roy?

    Or better than both lol.

Look, I'll give Pitino plenty of credit, but his credentials don't match up to the other three coaches. Part of that is of his own doing, but it's his resume. It's not complete unless you count the disaster in Boston, and the previous mishap in NY. That's not saying the other three could have succeeded in the NBA, but if it's a 'March Madness' commercial, and it clearly is, Pitino is the runt of that group.

    Sorry if the truth hurts.
