based on what PPG? That mean's nothing b/c it does not tell the tale of how they were 1) Defended 2) attempted to score their points.

Is Hansbrough better than James Worthy or Jordan just because he scored more points, never mind that what some 35+% came from the FT line?

Let's use w/l records. Dook won 26 games in the ACC JJ's freshman year. Liberty won 19 games in the Big South in Seth's freshman year. This comparison isn't even close.

And there's no way you can compare an individual sport vs. a team sport. Please tell me you have something better than that and your magical 'eye'...

I'm the only one that's brought any real facts to this discussion.

More than half of JJs shots as a freshman were 3pt shots....almost 3 to 1....

Learn to read. I put most of the relevant stats at the beginning of this discussion. I'm not only talking about PPG because if I WAS - SETH wins that hands-down.
Or maybe you weren't paying attention. Or maybe you got confused again?

what actual facts have you given other than PPG?

I gave you a fact that Steve Stricker leads the PGA Tour in scoring average, then asked if that means he is better than Tiger Woods?

The same applies to Curry v. Redick as freshman.

You point out Dahntay Jones but leave out Chris Duhon (the starting PG for the 2001 NC Team) not to mention Shelden Willams.....

It lends more credence to the fact that Curry was the 1 2 and 3 options while JJ was a player who you had to keep an eye on but would only beat you from 3.

Let me refresh your memory since you can't read. Or forget easily.

Do you see it this time?

And I said that you can't compare a team sport to an individual sport, but if you want to - we can look at w/l records for both dook and Liberty.

Any of this ring a bell or are you going to continue ignoring it and just spouting off about this and that over and over? Keep in mind that you're trying to compare a guy that wasn't heavily recruited out of high school and went to Liberty to a guy that was a McD AA and was recruited to dook (along with other schools) (who eventually became the leading scorer in ACC HISTORY.) This argument has to be some kind of bad joke.

If you want to consider those other players for dook, then you're really proving my point since Redick was on a team where he wasn't the ONLY option. And yes - I'm agreeing with you that Curry was the 1-2-3 option for Liberty. AND THEY HAVE BASICALLY THE SAME STATS. Again - you're proving my point for me.

But, I realize what's really happening here. And it's sad really.

The dook program has fallen to such a low level that a player transferring from Liberty to dook HAS to be hailed as the next great Grant Hill or Jason Williams. He's the savior of the program. Just like Plumlee and Czyz were last year. Just like King, Singler, and Smith were the year before. Just like Zoubek, Thomas, Henderson, Sutton, and Scheyer were the year before that. These saviors HAVE to be good because there are no other options.

I'm now looking through your dook-blue glasses and the future is grim. I now understand why you have to believe that Curry had a better freshman year than JJ Redick. I understand and it's sad.

It is easier to score when there are other weapons to keep defenses honest. 20 ppg out of a freshman is never anything to sneeze at, but he is also the focal point of opposing team's defenses. Redick drops 15 ppg but he has the benefit of having other players that can score drawing superior defenders away from him.
