We aren't arguing what Steph could or couldn't do in a Duke uniform. You said Seth was better than Redick and that's just idiotic.

edit: For the record Jason Richards is much better than any PG Duke has had since Jason Williams, and Andrew Lovedale is an 'ACC talent' as well.

Seth has had 1 year in college, playing at LIBERTY. There's no way that somebody could say that Seth is better than Redick after that...

As a freshman vs Redick as a freshman he probably is, lets see how he develops up to his senior year.

    ...

    and this....

edit: I'd love to be wrong but I really think people are letting Redick's slow/failed NBA career affect their recollection of him as a college player. I guess Seth Curry is better than Rodney Monroe and Randolph Childress too...

Honestly, I don't think the comparison is even close. Redick was the 2nd option (behind Dahntay Jones) on his team in the ACC during his freshman year. Curry was the first option on his team in the BIG SOUTH. As you can see - their stats are very similar, so I think it's pretty easy to see that Redick was the better freshman... Curry has a lot to prove.

    Redick:
    FG: .413
    3Pt: .399
    FT: .919
    PPG: 15.0

    Curry:
    FG: .418
    3pt: .353
    FT: .844
    PPG: 20.6

Curry is/was a scorer plain and simple, Redick was a jump shooter who had range from half court on.....he developed the scorers mentality over the course of his career at Duke.

Even if at Liberty, I still say Curry > Redick as freshman (based clearly on game play)...

So, based on your 'eye', if Gerald Henderson played against my Intramural college team, he'd be better than Michael Jordan? (and believe me - he'd kill us...) Might as well throw out things like stats, I guess.

did i say based on "eye" No I did not, so are you saying Steph is not one of the best 5 players in the NCAA b/c he did not play against inferior competition day in and day out....(i know I've said that his competition isn't/wasn't as good when talking about him playing in the ACC)

I am only looking at freshman vs. freshman, I'd say Seth is the better player but he has a long way to go to be Redick as a senior....Jordan was never a spectacular college player so I don't want to make any comparison to him.....
