    Assuming you're right and he's saying Seth's racist - isn't:
    'To Seth's credit...'
    meaning that he's agreeing with Seth?

    Doesn't really matter what he meant or if it was a joke or not. For a white guy to make that comment, it's racist.

    At this point, I really don't care, though - that's probably the way they talk in the trailer park.

    Well we don't know his intentions, so may or may not know if he is actually a racist, but the comment itself was a racist comment.
