Yeah - I'm kinda curious how the matchup with Griffin will go. A lot of people are thinking it'll be Hansbrough on Griffin and vice versa, but I'm not so sure it won't be Thompson on Griffin. I expect it'll change throughout the game, though. Would love to see Ed Davis take the little Griffin and be able to help out on Blake from the weak-side. B. Griffin is only one guy and their guards were making shots against Syracuse's zone. I don't think they'll continue that against our man-to-man. It'll be a good game, but we should be going to the Final Four after Sunday.

This is nice icing on the cake:

"Tyler Hansbrough added 24 points and 10 rebounds for North Carolina, which won its 99th NCAA tournament game, breaking a tie with Kentucky for the most by any school."

I was really surprised by Ok's guard play. They were alot better than I remember seeing early in the year. Blake Griffin has to be guarded by someone strong enough to not get bulldozed. That would make me think Tyler but I think he'd get more fouls guarding him that would take him out of the game. Griffin is scary good. 29th double double of the year on Friday. :stunned:

Griffen was super-impressive last night. He had a sweet pass to his brother (showed some vision) and a nice steal leading to a breakaway dunk. Whomever gets him in the NBA is going to be loving it. He seems to have a really big frame to be that athletic. Will be interesting to see what he can do against UNC, they are flat out rolling. The Zags game they were unbelievable in the first half (well first 16 min.) Going to be tough to stop for anyone.

Griffin is by far the best player in the country this year. He'll make an incredible pro, too. Other than the game against Syracuse, though, Oklahoma has been a Blake Griffin show. I'm wondering who else will score - Griffin will get his, so as long as we can play decent defense on the rest of the guys, I think it should be a good game. OK's defense is underrated, but then again the Zags had the 2nd highest rated D in the NCAA's this year (behind Memphis) and we had 98 when the 3rd string went in. Should be a good game, and I think UNC will win - but it won't easy.

Oklahoma is NOT just Blake Griffin. They got to 25-1 and that was because of Griffin AND the guard play. He got hurt (2 losses) and then the guards disappeared until Friday. They were horrendous against Missouri and OSU in the Big XII tournament and we paid for it. They were fair in the first two rounds of the NCAA.

Watch something other than the ACC once in a while, same parochial attitude that bit people on the butt where Weber State is concerned.

I think you hit the nail on the head there. OK needs the guards to play well and they haven't until Friday. It doesn't mean that OK is a good 'team' with inconsistency like that. If the guards were at the same level all the time then OK would be a good 'team', but they're just not there. We'll see how they play today, but that could be the difference maker, either way.
