Smith in truth was glad to get away from the pressure cooker in Lexington but I agree he should have been given another year. Donovan will not leave Gainesville but you're right he might benefit from this by getting some more coin. More pressure to win at Kentucky than at any other program. Wildcat Basketball is Kentucky and to not even get in the dance won't cut it.

The first choice for Kentucky is Donovan then Callipari. Donovan might take it but he would have to be bought out at Florida. Callipari wants out of Memphis but he could go to Arizona. Travis Ford IMO will be the next coach at Kentucky.

Donovan said he is not interested. Vitale just mentioned Rick Barnes - don't know if that's a possibility or not.

My wife lived in Kentucky for 7 years. In my visits to Lexington I encountered some of the most passionate basketball fans in all of college basketball. It is kind of unsettling the way the act toward basketball. I recall my brother- in -law being refused entry into a bar because he had on a Duke jersey.Kentucky fans have expectations like no other. They expect to win the national title every year.Their fans travel like no other fans in college. They ran of Tubby and now this coach. What college basketball coach wants that kind of pressure from a fanatical fanbase like Kentucky?

    'refused entry' lol

Just another reason why Kenfucky fans are the most worthless fanbase in all of college basketball. I despise them WAY more than UNC fans. Such a bunch of entitled stupid rednecks wishing for the 40's to come back. The problem is, Kenfucky is such a little shithole there is literally NOTHING to pay attention to except for how Big Blue is doing.

After I have a few drinks maybe I'll tell you how I really feel lol.
