I've seen both episodes and it is better than I thought it would be. It's definitely in my rotation.

Seems to have a lot of religious overtones on a bunch of different layers, which is interesting to try to figure out.

For example, the tank was called a "Goliath" and the main character's name is David.

I know David was a 7th son, not sure if he was a 7th son of a 7th son, though.

Yikes. I just saw a show about him on the History Channel.
That dude was a butcher in real life (The Bible leaves a bunch out apparently).

Let's hope NBC doesn't leave it out. That makes for good tv. :stuart:

Not really. David was by far one of the most violent Kings. Most of his life was spent at War. The Bible doesn't get graphic, but it's kinda obvious what was necessary at war back then.

It wasn't just war, it was his desire for power. He massacred entire city populations, and crucified the remaining bloodline (7 sons) of the previous king so he would be the undisputed ruler of his new kingdom.
(Plus, he did order the death of his lover's HUSBAND, so he could have her..that should make the new TV show).
