Tyler Hansbrough has 2,766 points, which is three points behind Duke's J.J. Redick. Unless Hansbrough can make up about 900 points in 6 NCAA tournament games, he wont catch up to "Pistol" Pete Maravich of LSU who amassed a startling 3,667 points from 1967-1970. He averaged 44.2 points per game which is also an NCAA record.

Here are the top 10 all time scorers

    1. Pete Maravich (LSU) - 3,667 pts
    2. Freeman Williams (Portland State) - 3,249
    3. Lionel Simmons (La Salle) - 3,217
    4. Alphonso Ford (Mississipi Valley State) - 3,165
    5. Harry Kelly (Texas Southern) - 3,066
    6. Hersey Hawkins (Bradley) - 3,008
    7. Oscar Robertson (Cincinnati) - 2,973
    8. Danny Manning (Kansas) - 2,951
    9. Alfredrick Hughes (Loyola, IL) - 2,914
    10. Elvin Hayes (Houston) - 2,884

If Hansbrough can play all six games, its highly likely he'll beat out Elvin Hayes and end his career in the top 10.

Amazing considering Pistol only played 3 years.

There has been some talk that if Curry stays around another year he has a shot at the all-time record, but I haven't looked at the numbers myself.

Hersey Hawkins, man there's a name from the past. One of the most underrated Hornets ever. Either he or Baron Davis was the best undersized rebounder the team ever saw in Charlotte.

couldn't just say "he's three points behind Reddick" could you? you had to add all that other extra copy-and-paste shit to make it seem as though you're some kind of fucking expert. well fuck you.

Are we eating sour grapes today because you didnt find it/post it first?

Geez grid, what the hell did you expect me to do? Ask a psychic to give me the answers from her crystal ball? That's the internet, to find your research and present your findings.

But when it comes to sports, I know my way around. I knew Maravich was the leader in points, just didnt know the number. But I thought, what the hell...lets put the top ten in there and piss gridpanicker off..

Nice response. Whatever he said - just remember he's a troll and he only posts to get people's dander up. He knows ZILCH about basketball and even less about succeeding at life. It's tough to get a decent job when every interview he goes to he gets asked 'Didn't you play Hitler in that movie Valkyrie? You were great in that!'
