How does UNC play in the South and Duke in the East and both play in Greensboro? I thought the 1st round for different regions was always played in different locations. :N1saywha:

They have split up the first two rounds into pods to reduce travel etc. It's been like this for a few years now. The brackets only really exist among paper.

It's awesome. dook wins the ACC tourney and is rewarded with a 2 seed and two games at home. Unfortunately - home is North Carolina which means dook will get booed off the court both first round games by the majority of fans in the arena - all UNC fans.

Interesting stats - last 2 times dook won the ACC tournament, they were bounced from the NCAA's before the sweet 16.
Last time UNC lost in the semifinals of the ACC tournament, they won the National Championship.
Can't tell what will happen this year, just thought it was interesting.

the ACC gets 7 teams in. dook and unc get home games early on. awesome.

this is one of my favorite times of the year. i only wish college football could match it.

I am sure Binghamton are very happy that unc will also play at Greensboro Which will mean that 99% of the fan at the Greensboro coliseum Will pull for Binghamton to beat Duke. Go Binghamton and go unc

....the Last time Duke won the ACC Tourney in Atlanta, 2001...just sayin...you can play that last time card all you want.

Duke will play at 9:40 on Thurs......UNC has an afternoon game, While only UNCBendMeOverEasy would hang around for Duke to play to boo at them, I dont see the 1st Round being a problem....now on Saturday, yes they will, though i don't see that affecting the game at all.
